RESERVATIONS.

Since we've been getting a lot of orders, specifically translation requests and everyone wants things done quickly, I've decided to put a limit on the amount of translation jobs we will accept at any given time. We generally work on a "first come, first serve" basis but reserve the right to work in any order we please. We try to get orders done within a week of accepting, but if we aren't busy it could be done within a couple days or even hours!

If there is a choice between translated/untranslated, it means we haven't yet translated it so expect to wait for us to do so for you! ❀ What will you translate other than doujinshi?
☆ Anything! Small or large, we can work out a price. Pixiv art, tweets, documents - whatever, as long as you can provide us the material in some way. I can only give rough price estimates on doujinshi/novels though. We may refuse to do longer projects if we are particularly busy.

❀ What will it cost me for a doujinshi or novel translation?
☆ ≫Doujinshi: $1 - $2/page
　 ≫Novels: 0.75¢ per character
**Depending on difficulty, the price may increase.**

+ 4% for paypal fees.


❀ Will you translate raws/scans?
☆ Absolutely! You don't have to use our proxy service in order to use our translation service.

❀ Can I see a sample of your work?
☆ Certainly, email us at SeductiveSugarShop[at]gmail.com and ask. We'd be glad to show you something! Please be aware that pretty much all of my current work is BL (Boy's Love), though! That said, we thrive for quality translations. We want to keep the original feeling of the Japanese text, with all of its nuances, while making the English as natural as possible. If you have any preferences though, such as not translating "oniisan", let us know. We'll be happy to accommodate you!

❀ Do you also provide editing?
☆ I'll include editing of raw doujinshi for an additional $1/page alongside a translation, but my editing is not flawless. Though it's passable in a pinch. I won't edit most sound effects, but I can put a translation note if you want it. I will not redraw portions that get edited out due to text, either. Again, you can email us for a sample. However, I can't scan doujinshi since I don't own a scanner, so if you want to purchase a hard copy with a translation, then editing is not an option.

❀ Can I post the translations online or share with friends?
☆ If you'd like to 100% support the artists, we advise against posting online and because some artists have quit drawing over this, we would prefer if you didn't. But if you do, be sure to credit us (website + email). You can absolutely share with friends. :)

❀ I really want doujinshi of (series/pairing). Can you find me any?
☆ We can certainly try! But especially for old or less popular series/pairings, we can't make any promises.
If you follow us on twitter, we'll make special posts about when we head to certain areas where we can buy doujinshi. That's the best time to ask us as we can probably find harder to get series/pairings from used shops in Tokyo.

❀ Will you preorder doujinshi for me?
☆ As long as the service accepts our available methods of payment, then absolutely!

❀ How long will a translation take?
☆ I honestly can't say. But, we have two people working on it - a native Japanese and English speaker so if we aren't busy with a lot of other school work or projects, then I daresay we might be one of the fastest teams out there! We can translate a 24p doujinshi in less than 2 or 3 hours.

❀ How about payment?
☆ Payments are handled through paypal. Please use the gift option to avoid fees - but if there are fees (Non-JP buyers may be charged), then you're responsible to pay for them. We require a 50% deposit before we begin translating and the rest is due when we've finished translating, but before we send it to you. We can send a few pages as proof if you'd like.

❀ Are there any genres you won't do?
☆ We understand that some people like material that others might consider offensive. But for the most part, we will work with any content. (examples of what we will do: Futa, Yaoi, Yuri, rape, gore, furry, loli, shota, etc.)Though we do reserve the right to refuse any commission, our reason will usually be due to difficulty, or scheduling. Not because we hate the material. There is one single exception though: We will not do scat. Very sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.

We use Japan Post and offer international shipping.
